New Qualifications

September has seen the launch of several brand new Energy & Environment qualifications:-

  • A suite of EEA Level 3 Certificate in Substation Fitter Construction Operations qualifications with three different pathways: Remove & Refurbish; Mechanical Plant; Electrical Plant. These qualifications are the first of their kind and include the key knowledge and skills requirements for all aspects of Substation Fitter Construction Operations. These qualifications can be completed as stand-alone qualifications or to support the delivery of the Power Industry – Substation Fitter apprenticeship.
  • EEA Level 3 Award in Awareness of Gas Escape, Locate and Repair. This is a knowledge-based qualification, aimed at managers or supervisors who are responsible for managing Gas Escape, Locate and Repair (ELR) teams.

All of these qualifications have been developed in close collaboration with employers and training providers and meet a particular knowledge and/or skills need, which is not covered by any other qualification currently available. Please click on the links above for further information.

The following qualifications are due to be live in October:

  • EEA Level 1 Certificate in Network Construction Operations (Water) and EEA Level 1 Certificate in Network Construction Operations (Gas)

Other qualifications are also in development, including a suite of Engineering Maintenance Technician qualifications with pathways in electrical engineering, instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering. These qualifications can be completed as stand-alone qualifications or to support the delivery of the new Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprenticeships; single and dual discipline.

To find out more about any of these qualifications please email our Senior Sales and Business Development Manager, James Wingerath.
