Apprenticeship Provider Conference 2026
Join us for the second Energy & Environment Awards Apprenticeship Provider Conference on Thursday 5 November in Coventry.The event will bring together employers, training providers and apprenticeship professionals to explore industry developments, policy updates and best practice.
New Overhead Lines Qualifications
In response to industry demand for a clearer development pathway, we worked with employers and sector experts to create new overhead lines qualifications. The qualifications support progression from entry-level roles through to supervisory and management positions, helping employers develop a skilled and competent workforce.
End-Point Assessments Coming Soon
We are expanding our portfolio with new building services engineering end-point assessments and have launched a new suite of qualifications for the power sector.Find out what’s available now and what’s in development to support employers, providers and learners.
Apprenticeships Under Review
Skills England is reviewing apprenticeships as part of ongoing assessment reforms. Several of our end-point assessments are included in the current revisions programme, with updates to Apprenticeship Assessment Plans to follow.
Engineering Maintenance Technician Qualification
We launched the Engineering Maintenance Technician qualifications last year as competence-based routes and are now exploring shorter, centre-delivered options with end-of-term assessment. To help shape development, we are seeking your feedback in the form of a short survey.
Change to Emergency First Aid at Work
The First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum has announced an update to the minimum face-to-face contact hours for the Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work. This has now been set at a minimum of 3 hours of face-to-face delivery. An updated version of the Blended Learning in First Aid Quality Assurance Standards, which reflects this change, is now available on our website.
