The First Qualifications 100% Mapped to the Apprenticeship Standard

Engineering Maintenance Technicians are essential to maintaining the reliability and safety of the UK’s infrastructure, ensuring reliability, safety, and operational excellence.

To support this critical role, we are proud to introduce a new suite of Ofqual-regulated qualifications that deliver the technical skills and knowledge industry demands.

Our qualifications provide comprehensive training across electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation and control disciplines. each pathway is designed to build practical competence and confidence, giving learners the expertise to meet current industry demands and build a successful career in engineering maintenance.

These qualifications are the first to be mapped 100% to the Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician (Single / Dual Discipline) Apprenticeship Standard, guaranteeing complete coverage of all knowledge and skills criteria.

This alignment makes them ideal for both apprentices and standalone learners, and perfect for providers seeking a qualification that employers recognise and value.

To simplify delivery, we have developed a reference guide that shows how evidence collected for the qualification portfolio can also be applied towards the portfolio which is required to be submitted at End-Point Assessment (EPA) Gateway – saving time, reducing duplication, and making it easier for customers delivering both.

Other Key Features:

  • Ofqual-regulated and designed for apprentices and standalone learners.
  • The Portfolio of Evidence approach supports both the qualification and the EPA, reducing duplication.
  • Learner assessment packs, evidence matrices, and guidance forms are available via QuartzWeb.
  • Unit certificates for partial achievement.
  • Flexible delivery—training can be completed at a centre or on the job.
