We have launched our foundation apprenticeship, the EEA Level 2 Foundation Apprenticeship for FA0006 Engineering and Manufacturing*.
It is funded at £4,500 and the employer qualifies for up to £2,000 per foundation apprentice, subject to retention and progression.
The apprenticeship provides an introduction to general engineering and manufacturing as well as a mix of employability skills and behaviours.
Progression routes include the Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship which we also offer.
The qualification focuses on introductory knowledge and skills for the following four engineering and manufacturing roles:
- Electrical and electronic engineering
- Fabrication
- Mechanical Manufacturing
- Engineering Maintenance
Our specification will provide amplification and guidance tailored to each of these roles and we will also offer centres a choice of two assessment approaches:
- One approach involves Energy & Environment Awards marking all the assessments. Centres choosing this approach will be approved via our EPA Centre Approval route.
- The other approach is for Centres that wish to carry out the marking of the portfolio component themselves. Centres choosing this approach will be approved via our Qualification Centre approval..
Both routes come with our commitment to providing personal customer service, with expert guidance and responsive support whenever you need it.
The specification can be found here.
