Summary
Overhead Linespersons work for electricity network owners, operators and contractors, maintaining and developing overhead line infrastructure that supports the safe and reliable distribution of electricity across the UK.
They work on either distribution networks, which deliver electricity from substations to homes and businesses, or transmission networks, which transport electricity from power stations to substations across the wider electricity network. Each option involves different equipment, technologies and working practices.
