Summary
An engineering maintenance technician ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant, equipment and systems across industries vital to the UK’s infrastructure, including energy, manufacturing, utilities, and entertainment. Technicians carry out planned and reactive maintenance, contribute to continuous improvement, and work collaboratively with engineers, stakeholders, and regulators to uphold safety, compliance, and performance standards. There are three main pathways within the standard: Electrical, Mechanical, and Control & Instrumentation.
