Summary
Heat Network Maintenance Technicians operate, maintain and repair equipment across district heat networks, helping to deliver reliable low-carbon heating and hot water to residential and commercial customers. They carry out planned maintenance, respond to faults, and support the safe and efficient operation of heat network infrastructure. There are two main options within the standard: Distribution and Residential Systems.
This apprenticeship supports the growth of low-carbon heat networks and helps develop the skilled workforce needed for the UK's transition to Net Zero. It offers opportunities for both new entrants and career changers to build a rewarding career in a growing sector that plays an important role in delivering sustainable energy solutions.

Gateway Requirements
Apprentice must have achieved English and Mathematics in line with the apprenticeship funding rules.
Apprentice must have compiled and submitted an EPA portfolio of evidence, which the interview will be based on.
