Summary
An Engineering Construction Pipefitter works on major infrastructure projects. The pipefitter role encompasses the positioning, assembly, fabrication, maintenance, repair and decommissioning of piping systems – with systems that may carry water, steam, food, pharmaceutical, chemicals, gas, hydrocarbons or fuel which may be used in cooling, heating, lubricating and other processes.

Gateway Requirements
The employer must be content that the apprentice is working at or above the occupational standard
Achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Installing Engineering Construction Plant and Systems
Completed training towards English and mathematics qualifications in line with the apprenticeship funding rules
Apprentices must have produced an Evidence Review and a mini portfolio of evidence to underpin the Structured Professional Review
