Summary
This standard has been replaced by ST0062 Building Services Engineering Craftsperson V1.2. It closed for new starts on 31 July 2024. We will continue to support assessment for all apprentices who began their programme before this date.
A Building Services Engineering Craftsperson helps make buildings work. They install, test, commission and decommission engineering systems used to provide heating and cooling in industrial and commercial buildings such as offices, factories, schools and hospitals.
Working on new and existing properties, they use detailed technical knowledge to plan and organise work, solve problems and work with clients and other trades. They take responsibility for ensuring work meets relevant safety, quality and environmental requirements.
This Level 3 apprenticeship develops the technical knowledge, practical skills and professional behaviours needed to work safely, effectively and independently in the building services engineering industry.
End-point Assessment Components
Gateway Requirements
Apprentices must have:
Why Energy & Environment Awards?
Personal Customer Support
Your personal contact means you get help and support when you want it – no call centres and no tickets.
Learning from Experience
After each cohort has finished their apprenticeships, we will set up ‘Learning from Experience’ meeting to ensure you are heard and we are always improving.
Resources for Success
Our added-value resources give you much more - all designed to help you prepare the apprentice for their end-point assessment.
Energy & Environment Awards are the one EPAO that gives me confidence that they know what they are doing and why they are doing it. They have everything in place to support the apprentice, employer and training provider which is amazing.
