Summary
The Energy & Environment Awards Level 3 Award in Managing the Confined Spaces Site is designed for managers and supervisors responsible for overseeing confined spaces work. It equips learners with the essential knowledge required to manage confined sites safely, including risk management, safe systems of work, permit to work controls, and ensuring suitable emergency arrangements are considered.
The qualification is focused specifically on confined spaces site management, supporting those responsible for planning, supervision and safety oversight rather than operational entry. Learners gain a clear understanding of their legal and safety responsibilities, including when specialist rescue arrangements are required.
Delivered as a knowledge only qualification and assessed through a short answer knowledge test, it can be offered without the need for a confined spaces training facility. This provides a flexible and efficient way for employers and training providers to develop management level competence while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
On successful completion of this qualification, learners will be eligible for EUSR registration and the issue of an EUSR card. For more information, please visit the EUSR website.
