The Energy & Environment Awards Level 2 Award for Cable Jointer’s Attendant supports individuals working as Cable Jointer’s Attendants (also known as Cable Jointer’s Mates) within the power industry across both high and low voltage networks.
The qualification helps address skills gaps by building the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to effectively and safely perform their role in assisting the power network craftsperson. This strong industry alignment ensures learners are well prepared to meet sector expectations and contribute confidently to safety critical power network operations.
The qualifications and units have been developed by Energy & Environment Awards through consultation with technical experts, key external stakeholders, including industry representatives and training providers.
Individual units have been developed based on an industry-recognised standard developed by the National Skills Academy for Power (NSAP) and facilitated by Energy & Utility Skills.
