Summary
Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technicians plan, select, install, service, commission and maintain all aspects of plumbing and heating systems. Apprentices will gain a strong understanding of core plumbing systems and plumbing science and processes as well as learning the principles of high quality customer service and how to communicate in a clear, articulate and appropriate manner.

Gateway Requirements
The stage of the apprenticeship where the apprentice, employer and training provider determine whether the apprentice is ready to undertake end-point assessment
Apprentices must have compiled and submitted a Workplace Logbook of evidence, which the professional discussion will be based on Level 2
Apprentices must have achieved level 3 Plumbing and Domestic Heating Qualification
Apprentices must have achieved Network Construction operations (Gas) Level 1 certificate, as a minimum

Summary
A water industry network technician responds to incidents and monitors water or wastewater networks, resolving issues or identifying action required.
End-point Assessment Components
Observation with questions (6 hours)
Interview (90 minutes, minimum of ten questions)
Multiple-choice test (50 questions, 90 minutes)
Gateway Requirements
Apprentices must have compiled and submitted a portfolio of evidence to underpin the interview.
Apprentices must have achieved English and maths qualifications in line with the apprenticeship funding rules.
