Summary
A lead traffic management operative (LTMO) is an essential role in the construction sector, involving both private and public organisations. LTMOs coordinate, install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic management (TTM) equipment to ensure safety on the road network. They support major infrastructure projects, utility works, and maintenance tasks, and manage access to construction sites. TTM is crucial for public safety, protecting all road users, including those with mobility impairments.
