A dual fuel smart meter installer (electricity and gas) is in charge of safely installing, exchanging and maintaining smart meters, explaining to customers how they work and how to use energy more efficiently.

Apprentice has:
- Achieved English and mathematics qualifications in line with the apprenticeship funding rules
- IGEM IG/1 Supplement 3 Certificate
- Consolidated Metering Code of Practice (CoMCoP)
- Matters of Gas Safety Competency Accreditations
- compiled and submitted a portfolio of evidence, which the interview will be based
