Summary
This standard has been replaced by ST0158 Dual Fuel Smart Meter Installer V1.3. It closed for new starts on 31 July 2024. We will continue to support assessment for all apprentices who began their programme before this date.
A dual fuel smart meter installer (electricity and gas) is in charge of safely installing, exchanging and maintaining smart meters, explaining to customers how they work and how to use energy more efficiently.

Gateway Requirements
The stage of the apprenticeship where the apprentice, employer and training provider determine whether the apprentice is ready to undertake end-point assessment
Apprentice must be registered on the Meters Operators Code of Practice Agreement (MOCoPA) and the Gas Safe® Register
Apprentices must have compiled and submitted a portfolio of evidence to underpin the End-point Interview
Apprentices must have achieved English and Mathematics at Level 1 in line with the apprenticeship funding rules
