External Quality Assurer

Are you passionate about quality, safety and raising standards in the vocational training and education sector? Looking for your next opportunity in a meaningful, forward thinking organisation?

Join Energy & Environment Awards – a recently established, Ofqual regulated awarding organisation and wholly owned subsidiary of the Energy & Utility Skills Group. We deliver end point assessments, regulated qualifications and EUSR – the sector’s register of skills and industry recognised training programmes.

About the role

As an External Quality Assurer (EQA), you’ll play a vital role in maintaining high standards across our Approved Providers and Trainers by:

  • Ensuring centres comply with our robust approval criteria
  • Providing information, advice and guidance before and after centre approval
  • Supporting quality through audit reports, monitoring and best practice sharing
  • Identifying opportunities for new or endorsed training programmes

To be successful in this role, you will have recent experience of working in the vocational education or training sector, ideally within an awarding or professional body as an EQA, or training provider as an IQA. You will also hold an existing EQA or IQA qualification and be experienced in undertaking training related audits.

Additionally, this is a home-based role as we would ideally like to hear from candidates based in the North East or South of England, in line with the locations of many of our training providers.
